Kelsey Briggs

This is a really heartbreaking to watch.....Why did god give such a beautiful gift to a bloody monster and why do the innocent girl have to suffer...there are more of them out there whom are yet to be discovered, it's sickening for me to accept the fact.I can't tell you more about what happened because it will definitely make me swear, so i will provide the story i had gotten over the net....

Kelsey Briggs was born in Oklahoma on December 28,2002 after her parents Lance Briggs and Raye Dawn Smith were divorced.
Raye Dawn Smith started dating a man named Michael Lee Porter.
The first reported incident of child abuse regarding Kelsey was made on Jan.17,2005,and many more were to follow.

Raye Dawn Smith married Michael Lee Porter on April 18,2005.

On May 3,2005 Kelsey was taken out of her home by OKDHS.

May 4,2005 Kelsey was moved to her maternal Grandmother Gayla Smith.
In mid June 2005,after months of documented abuse which included a broken collarbone, multiple abrasions, new bruises and faded bruises from head to toe,and two broken legs, the doctor said Kelsey's legs were spiral fractures, which means someone twisted her little legs forcefully.Three doctors with a combined 90 years experience saw Child Abuse in Kelsey's broken legs. There were numerous court hearings but after it all on June 15,2005 Judge Craig Key sent Kelsey back to her mom and stepfather. The judge said "Kelsey's abuser was unknown."
She remained in state custody and was to be supervised by state agencies.
Her biological father Lance Briggs was in Iraq fighting for our country while his little girl Kelsey was here fighting for her life.

On October 11, 2005 she was murdered apparantly by her Stepfather Micheal Lee Porter but that is up for debate.Raye Dawn and Michael Porter were the only ones with Kelsey the afternoon she died.
The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the abdomen,it was ruled a Homicide.
Kelsey Briggs died just days before her father was to return from Iraq.

Two weeks later Porter was arrested on first degee murder.
Her mother was later charged with two felonies of Child Neglect and Enabling Child Abuse.
In April of 2006 Kelsey's body was exhumed for a second autopsy where sexual abuse was documented.
Not only was this child brutally beaten over a 9 month period she was also sexually assaulted.
The Stepfather's charges were amended to add the sexual abuse.
Porter and Smith divorced after Kelsey's death.
On February 2, 2007 a plea negotiation was entered and approved by the paternal family.
The stepfather plead guilty to a reduced charge of Enabling Child Abuse and received 30 years in prison.
He has no possibility of parole for 25.5 years.

Kelsey's mother Raye Dawn Smith went on trial July 9, 2007.She has since been found guilty of enabling child abuse, she will serve 27 years in prison.Without the possibility of parole for 23 years.
The court says she knew or should have known about Kelsey's abuse.
(what kind of mum
is she?????)

Alot of people failed Kelsey.Remember her story the next time you think a child is being abused. Please report it,if you don't, that child may suffer the same fate as Kelsey. Please don't let that happen.
A new law has been named for Kelsey in Oklahoma to prevent this type of failure in the Oklahoma State System.

Yeah....after such thing happens, then only a new law will be enforced....why wait for a death to enforce a new law??? It is very obvious that she was being abused, and yet the judge sent her back with the reason that the abuser is unknown...wtf!!!!!!!! why don't i have special power to stop all this from happening..i really feel helpless...i cannot watch it twice.
The world is filled with cruelty..

Tesl Night Dinner

Our dinner was held a day after my birthday. The theme of the night was "Symphony of Colours"... This dinner was the main cause for me to choose Pajamas as the theme for my birthday party, because i want all of my friends to dress casually to my party. I don't want to burden them to dress up for both event. Luckily, what i planned turned up well....huhu...

Now presenting the pictures for the TESL NIGHT DINNER.....we were camwhoring as usual *grins*..

All of us

The Three Mischievous Musketeers (hehe)

With Mdm Malarselvi

After that, about 10 of us went to nearby McD, as we are still hungry. The food at the dinner can be only rated 0.5 star.....i wonder how come such hotel are having terrible caterers. No quality at all, and the food is totally out, minus the small stage. All of us have to squeeze in to perform. Hmmm...what to do, it's a small scale dinner....Hope it will get better next year!

Our Reflection...

My Birthday Party

I'm a bad blogger.......YES, i certainly am(sob sob)....i didn't blog for few days.....and May is going to end and yet i only have 3 posts....

I totally blame it on my University's hectic schedule (hehehe)....And even now i'm still busy, i am having my finals next week (sigh). I totally hate the sight of my books and notes now, but what to do, i have to face it no matter what i feel. Sometimes i can totally understand what the researchers or philosopher says, but most of the time, I'm felt lost in their words. Why do they have a lot of theories? And even if i understand the theories, i still have to 'memorize' the exact term because i cannot simply modify what the researchers had found out. I 'm not good at memorizing, tried a lot of techniques but what to do, I'm not gifted.....hehe

Alright, now presenting my birthday parties pictures......which falls on 13 May...i'm still YOUNG, the only thing is i became more wiser..hehehe...It's a very simple party, which i organized myself *sob sob* just for me n my classmates to have more fun...we had a lot of games and even dance! It's a very very memorable day for me as i'm blessed with wonderful friends!

Well, before showing the pictures....I warn you i won't look this terrible if not because of my friends....they bullied me huhu....and the theme of the party is "Pajamas Party"....wonder why i picked it as the theme???....you will get to know why in the next 2 posts...

In the examination hall....

When I'm in the examination hall last week, i was thinking about one issue which is always coined with exams...which is

YES, you are right, cheating!...

There are several methods used to cheat in exams....
The first, but unpopular method in Malaysia (we are banned from bringing it inside the exam hall)...but practical for quizzes..*winks*

Where can i buy this *walaoo*? i think before i even manage to take out the notes...i will be caught by the examiner...*sigh*

Wah!!! very creative in the wrong way!!!!

Don't you think it is worth it after you go through the nervous-each-time-peeping-into-notes ....and the risk of getting caught, and barred from taking examinations for 2 years or longer? Wouldn't it be more satisfying to get a good result after your hard work( study, not hard work to cheat). When you cheat, you are also cheating yourself..and you are limiting your ability because you are diverting your effort to come up with "how to cheat" not "how to study".

Believe me...there is no other satisfaction that a student like me can get, other than getting good results from my own effort. Nobody can exploit your ability, but only you can!
